How to set up and run a tournament
Running a tournament takes about a minute to set up. Follow the steps below — players can watch any live tournament from their own device, so there's nothing to share.
STEP 1
Name your tournament

From the home screen, tap Create tournament. Give it a name like "Friday Night Pool" — you'll need at least 2 players and a name before you can start.

STEP 2
Add players

Tap Registered Players to quickly add members from the directory, or type names in manually. Each player gets a starting chip count (1–10) — the loser of a match loses one chip.

STEP 3
Start the tournament

Once your roster is ready, tap Start Tournament. Then open the menu and hit Generate Schedule — Chipora builds a round-robin so every player faces every other player.

STEP 4
Record winners & breaks

As matches finish, tap the player who won. Their opponent loses a chip and counts update live. Tap the small circles on the sides of a match to mark who gets a break.

STEP 5
Run the next cycle

When a full cycle of rounds is done, use the menu and hit Next Cycle to build a fresh schedule with the players still standing. Repeat until one player is left.

STEP 6
Players follow along — no code needed

Anyone on Chipora can open View tournament from the home screen and watch any active tournament live on their own device — standings, matches and chip counts update in real time.

STEP 7
End the tournament

When it's wrapped, use the menu and tap End Tournament. Results are archived, and you can email the final standings to all players from the menu.
